Below you will find links to various documents that outline the beliefs and practices of the Free Presbyterian Church of North America.
At its inaugural meeting in Toronto on May 18, 2005, the presbytery of the Free Presbyterian Church of North America adopted a Book of Church Order that contains at present our confessional standards and our Form of Church Government. We are currently drawing up the Code of Practice and Discipline as well as a Directory for Public Worship. As soon as these become available, they will be added to the Book of Church Order and posted to this site.
The booklet Separated Unto the Gospel contains responses to frequent requests from people interested in the Free Presbyterian Church for a concise description of our ministry and message.
This Statement of Purpose was adopted by the presbytery at its inaugural meeting in Toronto on May 18, 2005.
The Westminster Standards
The Westminster Standards are comprised of the Westminster Confession of Faith (1646), the Shorter Catechism (1647), and the Larger Catechism (1648). The following editions reflect the American revision which was adopted by the Presbyterian Church (USA) in 1788, along with amendments adopted by the FPCNA at its inaugural meeting in May of 2005 to reflect the church’s distinctive positions on several issues as indicated in the Introduction to the Book of Church Order (p. 10, § 13).
The Westminster Confession of Faith is a Reformed confession of faith in the Calvinist theological tradition.
